THE TURF
An utopian success acting as an inspiring spot

Le Lignon, our turf, is Europe’s longest continuous building and was for sometime world’s longest one. Located in Geneva, Switzerland, it epitomizes urban ingenuity. Stretched 1,065 meters, bordering a forest and surrounded by the River « Le Rhône », which starts in the heart of the Swiss Alps to end up in the Mediterranean Sea, it’s recognized as a monument by the State of Geneva, attracting global architects.

Constructed in 1962 with innovative sheet steel structures, Le Lignon stands as a Guinness World Record for its 1,065-meter continuous structure. Beyond residential, it hosts schools, churches, a shopping center, and green spaces.

In the cultural flow, a mystic music festival called « Vernier sur Rock», which took place in Le Lignon and its surroundings (ABARC) from 1983 to 2023, showcased bands like Slayer, Sepultura, Faith No More, Motörhead, Radiohead, System of a Down, Placebo and Björk, among many other stunning acts, alongside local bands. Unfortunately, the festival did not continue after 2023, but who knows, it may be resurrected soon.

Linked to Geneva by bus lines, Le Lignon harmoniously integrates with nature, preserving forest heritage. STREET CORE 219 embodies the spirit of Le Lignon—resilience, ambition, constancy growth, diversity (192 different nationalities) and determination inspired by industrial innovation and social intercultural harmony.
